UW Falls To No. 4 Ohio State

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Washington men’s soccer dropped its final match of the road trip in a 2-0 decision at No. 4 Ohio State on Monday night.
 
Washington moves to 4-3-5 on the season and 1-2-3 in Big Ten action.
 
The Huskies applied the pressure in the first 45 minutes of action with eight shots and six corners. Joe Dale led the attack with four shots.
 
Washington had a good look in the 67th minute when the Huskies were awarded a free kick outside the box. Peter Kingston’s free kick ended up high.
 
Ohio State broke the stalemate with David Wrona’s goal in the 68th minute.
 
UW would not go down quietly, forcing a pair of corners in the minutes following the Buckeyes’ goal but could not find the equalizer.
 
The Buckeyes doubled their lead in the 86th minute on a goal by Michael Adedokun.
 
Washington returns home on Friday night for a matchup with No. 12 Maryland to begin a four-match homestand. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT and streaming on B1G+.
