Arsenal eyeing 20-year-old La Liga prodigy as replacement for first-team ace

Arsenal are keen on signing the Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera as a potential replacement for Jakub Kiwior, who has been linked with an exit from the club.

The Polish defender was linked with a move away from Arsenal during the summer transfer window as well, but the move did not materialise. He needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and he is likely to move on in the near future. He will not want to sit on the bench at Arsenal, and the Gunners are already looking at potential alternatives.

According to a report from TBR Football, Mosquera is on their shortlist and the 20-year-old could prove to be a quality long-term investment. The highly-rated central defender has attracted the attention of the Premier League club with his performances in Spanish football and it remains to be seen whether Arsenal can get the deal done. There is no doubt that they have the financial resources to tempt Valencia into selling the young defender. Furthermore, the opportunity to play for them will be quite attractive for the player as well. It would be a major step up in his career.

Cristhian Mosquera might fancy Arsenal move

Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in the world and they have been pushing for the league title consistently. A move to the North London club would allow Mosquera to compete for major trophies regularly. Regular football in England would accelerate his development as well and help him fulfil his tremendous potential. The 20-year-old could develop into one of the best defenders in the league with the right guidance.

Arsenal have a proven track record when it comes to nurturing young players and it remains to be seen whether they can bring Mosquera back to the club in the coming months.
