DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men’s soccer (4-2-2, 2-1-1 ACC) entered the United Soccer Coaches poll on Tuesday for the first time since the beginning of the season, following a 2-1 road victory against NC State. The Blue Devils jumped to 18th in the country setting up a top 20 battle on Friday evening.
In their last five fixtures, the Blue Devils have posted a 3-1-1 record, defeating Virginia and NC State on the road and drawing then No. 1 Stanford in Palo Alto, California. Graduate Adam Luckhurst has given Duke a spark over the past five matches, accounting for seven goals during that stretch.
Duke returns to the friendly confines of Koskinen Stadium on Friday, hosting No. 16 SMU. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ACCN.
