SEATTLE – Jadon Bowton has been tabbed Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Week, the conference office announced today.
It is the third straight week a Husky has earned conference honors after Chris Meyers was named defender of the week the last two weeks.
Bowton recorded his second clean sheet of the season in a 2-0 upset victory over No. 20 Northwestern last Friday. He matched a career-high with four saves including a penalty kick save in the 89th minute.
This season, he posts a 1.00 goals against average in nine matches with 22 saves. Bowton has played every minute in goal.
Up next, Washington hosts No. 8 Wisconsin on Friday night at Husky Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. PT and streaming on B1G+.
