COLLEGE PARK, MD — The Maryland men’s soccer team continues its journey through Big Ten play as they hit the road for a match-up with Indiana. Kickoff for the game is slated for 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network.
In their last game, the Terrapins opened conference action with a 3-0 win at home over #8 Wisconsin. The Terps opened the scoring with a 17th minute goal from Chris Steinleitner, his first goal as a Terp. Just two over two minutes after halftime, the Terps added their second goal of the game on a header by Bjarne Thiesen at the back post. The final goal of the contest was scored by Colin Griffith on a curling effort from just outside the box. Max Rogers assisted all three goals in the game, making it the second consecutive year that a Terp had three assists in the game.
Scouting the Hoosiers
- Indiana enters the contest with a 2-2-3 record. The Hoosiers opened conference play with a win of their own, defeating Rutgers on the road 1-0. The Hoosiers out shot the Scarlet Knights 13-7, finding the winner in the 87th minute on a Tommy Mihalic goal. Indiana played to a 1-1 draw with Evansville on Tuesday, getting a 31st minute goal from Samuel Sarver to open the scoring. Evansville would get the equalizer in the 73rd minute. Indiana had the clear advantage in shots, out-shooting Evansville 20-6.
- Mihalic leads the Hoosiers with four goals on the campaign, which is tied for the third-most in the Big Ten. Sarver holds the team lead in assists with two, followed by four fellow Hoosiers with one each.

JT Harms leads the Hoosiers in goal, as the senior keeper has started in front of the net for all seven of the Hoosiers games. Harms’ 18 saves are tied for the fourth-most in the conference, while allowing just seven goals on the season. Harms has a GAA of 1.14 and has been in goal for two clean sheets.

- This will be the 22nd all-time meeting between the Terps and the Hoosiers. The Hoosiers hold the slight advantage over the Terps in the series, with a record of 8-5-8. The two programs met last season, with Indiana taking a 2-1 win in College Park.
