Short Story: The University at Albany men’s soccer team came up short in Easton, Pennsylvania as the Lafayette Leopards came away with a 2-1 win.

  • The first shot on goal of the match came from Lafayette which managed to find the back of the net in the lower right corner to put the Leopards ahead 1-nil in the ’15.
  • Mohamed Soumah recorded the first shot for UAlbany in the ’29.
  • Ander Castillo tried to tie the game in the ’29 off a shot to the lower left corner resulting in a save from the Leopards keeper.
  • A cross from Castillo set up Timo Jansen for the shot attempt inside the penalty sone on the opposite side of the pitch we connected for Jansen to put the ball in the lower right of the net, tying the match in the ’44.
