UW-UM Ends In Draw – University of Washington Athletics

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Washington men’s soccer recorded its first Big Ten point in a 1-1 draw at No. 22 Michigan on Monday night.
 
UW moves to 3-2-3 and 0-1-1 in Big Ten play. The Huskies have earned a result in six of their last seven matches.

This year, the Huskies are 2-1-2 against the Top 25. In the past six seasons, the Huskies are 14-3-6 against ranked opponents in the regular season. The Dawgs are 27-8-10 in road contests since 2019.

 

Michigan jumped out to an early lead in the sixth minute.

 

The Huskies responded quickly to knot the match up at one on Peter Kingston’s second goal of the season in the ninth minute of action. Chris Meyers recorded his team-leading fifth assist of the season.

 

 
Connor Lofy made his first career start, totaling 70 minutes in the match. Chris Peretti saw his first minutes of the season in his start.
 
Goalie Jadon Bowton recorded three saves on the evening and faced a season-high 12 shots.
 
Up next, Washington returns to Husky Soccer Stadium for its Big Ten home opener, hosting Northwestern on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT and streaming on B1G+.
