Slot’s scouting team have been instructed to scout the 24-year-old from now until the end of the campaign.
The Frenchman, who is also admired by Bayern Munich and PSG, has a release clause worth in excess of £42 million in his contract.
During his first season at Sevilla, Loic, whose deal in Spain runs until 2029, has managed three direct goal contributions in 63 games in all competitions.
Mo Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also in the final 12 months of their contracts but CaughtOffside understands negotiations with the pair are set to start soon.
