Arizona Falls to Utah 0-1

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Arizona Soccer fell 0-1 in their first conference match against Utah this evening. 

The Cats and the Utes were battling for possession throughout the first half, maintaining an even 2-2 on shots. Both of Arizona’s shots in the first half were on target and saved by the Utes’ goalkeeper. The score remained knotted at 0-0 through the first 45 minutes. 

Heading into the second half, both teams were looking for the goal that would give them the 1-0 advantage. Ultimately, Utah got one past Arizona in the 67th minute, taking the lead. The Cats got three shots off in the second half for a game total of five. In the last ten minutes of the game, Arizona had four corner kicks and two shots.

Arizona goalkeeper Olivia Ramey faced six shots in the second half, and a total of eight throughout the game. 

The Cats will be back in action next Thursday, Sept. 19 at Baylor.
