ACC Men's Soccer Moves into Week 2 of Conference Action

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com)

 – Week 2 of ACC Men’s Soccer conference play starts Friday (Sept. 13), with seven league matches on the schedule this weekend. North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest open their ACC schedules Friday night.

Seven ACC teams are ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Poll, including three in the top 10. Both totals are the most of any conference: Stanford (3), Clemson (5), Pitt (7), North Carolina (11), Virginia Tech (17), Notre Dame (23) and NC State (24). Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and NC State – all still unbeaten this season – joined the poll this week.

ACC Network will showcase a pair of men’s soccer matches over the next few days, with No. 17 Virginia Tech at Syracuse at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday as well as a non-conference match featuring No. 20 Elon at Wake Forest at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
