OXFORD, OHIO – The No. 21 Gamecocks (2-0-2) leave Ohio with their second draw of the season, tying 0-0 with Miami (OH) on Sunday afternoon.
South Carolina shot early and often in the first half, taking eight (with one on goal) to the RedHawks’ five. Junior keeper Christina Tsaousis also came up with one save.
In the second half, the Gamecocks turned up the tempo while maintaining possession throughout, taking seven attempts with four on goal. Despite being on target, South Carolina was unable to come up with the game winner. Tsaousis kept the RedHawks at bay once more, making a huge save in the 49th minute to keep Miami off the board.
