Arsenal weighing up Deadline Day move for Bayern star

Arsenal target wants to leave Bayern

Arsenal are reportedly considering the possibility of signing Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman.

The Gunners have made just two first-team signings this summer with Mikel Merino joining from Real Sociedad following Riccardo Calafiori’s early transfer from Bologna.

However, according to a recent report from Fichajes, Mikel Arteta is a big admirer of Bayern’s Coman; a player who could be one of Deadline Day’s biggest movers.

Although Liverpool have also been linked with the Frenchman, it seems their recent capture of Federico Chiesa has ended their pursuit of Coman.

Arsenal concerned by Kingsley Coman injury record

Arsenal remain strongly linked though. The Premier League title challengers are looking for an extra spark upfront and could make an approach for Coman, who Bayern value at £42 million.

Kingsley Coman to Arsenal?

There are concerns over the 28-year-old’s injury record though. Missing 22 matches through injury since the start of last season, Coman’s history of knocks is a stain on his otherwise impressive CV.

The Paris-born winger has won a host of domestic honours, including six Bundesliga titles and the 2019-20 Champions League.

He has three years left on his contract and is represented by leading agency CAA Base.
