Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes is closing on a £1.5million move to ambitious Birmingham City.
The League One side made their move for the Queens Park Rangers forward on Monday evening and talks accelerated for the 28-year-old who is now set for a medical at lunchtime on Tuesday.
Dykes suffered heartache in the summer after a training ground injury forced him to miss out on the European Championship with Scotland earlier this summer.
He has been the subject of interest from the likes of Rangers back in Scotland but has been convinced by the project being pulled together at St Andrews.
Despite relegation from the Championship, Birmingham’s US owners plan to return at the first time of asking and hope to follow the same back to back promotion path of Ipswich Town.
