Women’s Soccer to Host Pair of Clinics in September

DURHAM, N.C. – Mark your calendars now as the Duke women’s soccer program will host a pair of clinics in the month of September.  The Blue Devils will hold a Fall ID Clinic on Saturday, Sept. 21 as well as a Blue Devil Development Day on Sunday, Sept. 22.

The Fall ID Clinic provides middle school and high school players training and games directed by the Duke women’s soccer coaching staff at the Blue Devils’ facilities in Durham, North Carolina. Coaches expose players to the training methods and drills utilized by the Duke team, addressing both the technical and tactical areas of the game.  Girls grades 7-12 are welcome to attend and the camp is expected to take place 2-7 p.m., on Sept. 21.

The Blue Devil Development Day will take place from 2:30-6:30 p.m., on Sept. 22.  Our The day is designed for girls ages 10-14 at all skill levels. The focus will be on improving technique (such as ball control, passing, dribbling, 1v1s, shooting, defending, etc.) and learning the “Duke Way.” Players will work with the coaching staff and current Duke women’s soccer players in a variety of fun and challenging activities and competitions. Campers will get to tour Duke athletic facilities, interact with Duke women’s soccer players and conclude the day with small-sided games.
