Lenhard Earns Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of Week Honors

COLLEGE PARK, MD — Each week during the 2024-25 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.

This week’s Terp of the Week is Emily Lenhard. This marks the second consecutive week that a Maryland women’s soccer student-athlete has received the award.

Lenhard got on the scoresheet in a big way in Maryland’s 1-1 draw with James Madison on Aug. 25. Lenhard took a corner for the Terrapins in the 83rd minute, scoring from the corner spot for an Olimpico. The goal was the first of her collegiate career, and came on her lone shot of the game. Lenhard got the start in both games for the Terps last week, setting a new season-high in minutes played with 83 against American on Aug. 22.

Lenhard has played and started in all four of the Terps matches in 2024. Lenhard is tied for the team lead with one goal. The first year player from Stafford, Virginia is fourth on the team in minutes played with 318, and is averaging 79 minutes played across the four games.

The Terps are back in action on Thursday, Aug. 29 as they travel to face Navy. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM and will be streamed on ESPN+.
