Midfielder Trio Named To Big Ten Players To Watch List

SEATTLE – Washington men’s soccer’s Peter Kingston, Richie Aman and Sean Sent have been named to the Big Ten Players to Watch list, the conference announced today.

The Huskies were tabbed to finish fourth in the conference’s preseason poll as voted on by the conference’s 11 head coaches. Indiana was selected as the unanimous overall pick, followed by Penn, UCLA, Washington and Michigan State.

Kingston, a fifth-year senior, starts his second season in the Purple and Gold as the team’s leading point scorer. He appeared in all 18 matches, making 17 starts for the Dawgs in 2023 while knocking in a pair of goals and recording four assists. In his career, Kingston has appeared in 65 matches with 56 starts, four goals and nine assists.

After a solid freshman campaign, Aman followed it up with conference honorable mention honors in 2023. He played in 17 matches while making 10 starts. Aman knocked in the game-winning goal over No. 5 Portland to secure the third result over a ranked team for the Dawgs.

Sent, a redshirt junior, has appeared in 18 matches with one start for the Purple and Gold. Last season he recorded goals in back-to-back matches against San Diego State and UCLA.

The 2024 season kicks off on Aug. 23 as the Huskies travel to No. 22 Portland. UW’s home opener is set for Aug. 26 against former conference rival, No. 4 Oregon State at 8 p.m. and airing on Big Ten Network.
