The 2024-25 Premier League season is almost upon us, as we are just mere days away from the opening day fixture between Manchester United and Fulham.
As the opening game looms large, many clubs are scrambling to get their current summer dealings over the line so they will be available to play in their squad this weekend if needed.
This is perhaps best evident by Manchester United’s remarkable £43m double swoop from Bayern Munich for defenders Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui who are set to transform Erik ten Hags back line.

When signings must be registered to play this weekend?
The Premier League states that any club hoping to debut any new signings this opening weekend must have their players registered by 12pm the last working day before a game.
This means that any new signings made by Manchester United or Fulham must be registered by 12pm on Thursday in order for them to be able to play in the friday night fixture.
All the rest of the Premier League clubs will have one extra day to get their signings over the line before the opening weekend fixtures, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea all having till 12pm on Friday.
United will have until Thursday, August 15 at 12pm to register the two defenders if they are to set to make their debuts in the opening day fixture
