Blue Devils Open Preseason Practice Tuesday


DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men’s soccer began preseason practice on Tuesday morning, marking the official start to the 17th season under head coach John Kerr
 
The Blue Devils start preparation for their three preseason exhibition matches, with the first set to be held on Saturday evening (Aug. 10) at 7 p.m., when Duke travels to take on Coastal Carolina in Conway, South Carolina. Duke hosts two exhibition matches scheduled for Aug. 13 against UNC Asheville and Aug. 16 against Georgetown. Both contests are scheduled for 7 p.m. from Koskinen Stadium.
 
Duke opens the 2024 campaign on the road taking on San Diego (Aug. 22) and UC San Diego (Aug. 25). 
 
The Blue Devils are coming off an unbeaten home regular season slate, en route to an 11-4-3 record and an NCAA Tournament Second Round appearance. Duke returns several key contributors from last year’s squad while also adding key freshmen, international signings, and collegiate transfers.
 
Men’s soccer opens the home schedule on Sunday, Sept. 1, against Averett at 2 p.m. from Koskinen Stadium. The remainder of the home slate includes North Carolina, SMU, Wake Forest, Howard, Queens, Longwood, and Notre Dame. Season tickets are on sale and can be purchased HERE.
