Manchester United have reportedly switched their focus away from Manuel Ugarte in their quest to sign a new midfielder.
As reported by The Athletic, United are now looking at other options as they are unwilling to meet Paris Saint-Germain‘s asking price of around €60million (£51million) for Ugarte.
The Uruguyan midfielder had been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford but United will not pursue a move unless PSG lower their asking price.
There remains uncertainty over Scott McTominay‘s future at United, with Fulham having made an improved bid of £23million for the midfielder.
United had considered signing Ugarte, who joined PSG from Sporting last year, but a deal now appears unlikely.
