Blue Devil Women’s Soccer to Host Furman in First Exhibition Monday


DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women’s soccer fans will have their first opportunity to see the 2024 edition of the Blue Devils on Monday, Aug. 5 as Duke hosts Furman at 5 p.m., in the first of two exhibition contests inside Koskinen Stadium.  The match will be free admission.
 
The Blue Devils opened practice on Tuesday and have had six days of workouts before hosting the Paladins. 
 
Furman, a member of the Southern Conference, is coming off a 7-5-7 overall, 3-1-5 conference mark a season ago under the direction of head coach Andrew Burr. 
 
Duke closes exhibition play Thursday by welcoming DC Power FC of the USL Super League for a 5 p.m., contest. 
 
The Blue Devils officially kick off the 2024 campaign Aug. 15 at Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio at 7 p.m.
