Tigres UANL vs Inter Miami: Preview, predictions, team news

David Ayala

Inter Miami will hope to secure their place in the Leagues Cup Round of 32 when they take on Liga MX side Tigres UANL Saturday night at NRG Stadium.

Tigres have enjoyed a flying start to the 2024 Liga MX Apertura season, winning three matches and drawing once to sit in third place in the table behind Pumas UNAM and Cruz Azul. Tigres have yet to begin their Leagues Cup campaign but will kick things off on Wednesday night against Puebla, who fell to Miami 2-0 over the weekend in East Group 3 action.

Miami got the better of Puebla last weekend to kick-off their Leagues Cup title defense with a 2-0 win at home in front of their supporters. Matias Rojas and Luis Suarez were on the scoresheet once again as the Herons secured three points without superstar Lionel Messi in the side, who’s still nursing an ankle injury suffered in the Copa America final.

Here’s 90min‘s preview of Tigres vs Inter Miami.
