Women’s Soccer Earns College Team Academic Award


DURHAM, N.C. – The United Soccer Coaches announced Thursday the College Team Academic Award winners for the 2023-24 academic year with Duke women’s soccer being one of 237 women’s squads selected.  The teams were recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom. 
 
Duke carded an impressive 3.70 grade-point average in 2023-24, including five Blue Devils on the Dean’s List with Distinction in the fall – Nicky Chico, Katie Groff, Olivia Migli, Elle Piper and Kat Rader.  Duke also featured five on the Spring Dean’s List with Distinction as well – Groff, Piper, Rader, Mia Oliaro and Kelly Wilson
 
Duke will open exhibition action for the 2024 campaign next week as the Blue Devils host Furman on Monday, Aug. 5 at 5 p.m., followed by DC Power FC on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 5 p.m.  The Blue Devils open the regular season at Ohio State on Aug. 15 at 7 p.m.  Both exhibition matches will be free admission.
