2024 Olympic Games Feature Ten Present and Former Tigers – Clemson Tigers Official Athletics Site

CLEMSON, S.C. – With the 2024 Olympic Games opening in Paris, France on Friday, there are several competitors with Clemson ties competing for gold. Six athletes and four administrators will be on hand representing three different countries in three sports (Athletics, Soccer, Rowing). Clemson has a rich Olympic tradition, consisting of 24 Olympic Medals, including 11 gold medals. 

Kailen Sheridan is in pursuit of her second Gold Medal, having won one with Team Canada in Tokyo. Hal Hershfelt, a member of the 2023 College Cup Women’s Soccer team is an alternate on the US Women’s Soccer Team. 

Current student-athlete Aleksanda Stoilova, the Australian national champion in the 100 meters, will compete as part of the 4 x 100 relay team. 

Director of Track and Field Mark Elliott is an assistant coach for Jamaica, while new Rowing Head Coach Adrienne Martelli, an Olympic medalist herself, is an assistant coach with USA Rowing.
