The Leagues Cup 2024 final is the last match in the month-long tournament to decide which MLS or Liga MX club gets to raise just the second ever Leagues Cup title.
Although Copa America 2024 and Euro 2024 are over, there is still plenty of soccer to watch this summer, including Leagues Cup. Every club from Major League Soccer and Liga MX get to compete in a mid-season, World Cup-style tournament that all culminates with one team bringing home some extra silverware.
Lionel Messi and Inter Miami won the inaugural Leagues Cup in 2023, and the Herons will look to defend their title this summer. The competition, though, is tougher than ever as more and more superstars, including Olivier Giroud, transition from Europe to the MLS.

The Leagues Cup 2024 final kicks off on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024. After a month’s worth of action, the tournament will conclude with one team winning the second ever Leagues Cup.
Before the final, though, the two semi-final losers will face off in the third-place match on the same day. The winner of the game, along with the two clubs in the final, will all qualify for the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup.
Finishing top three in the competition will be no easy feat; in fact, making it out of the group stage will prove to be a difficult challenge for some of the participating MLS and Liga MX clubs. Those who do advance to the knockout rounds will have to then win four matches in a row to make the final, and five to win the entire competition.
Broadcast times for the Leagues Cup final will not be announced until the match up is known.
