Dominic Solanke’s potential destinations – ranked

Jarrod Bowen

AFC Bournemouth star Dominic Solanke has gained the attention of clubs across Europe this summer after an impressive season on the south coast.

The forward’s 19 goals in the Premier League fired him into contention for Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad, with fans and pundits alike hoping to see the goalscorer on the plane to Germany.

The call-up didn’t come but his attacking skillset has piqued the interest of a number of clubs, who may look to give Solanke the stepping stone he needs to progress in his career. The player does, however, come with a reported £65m release clause that can only be activated by certain teams.

If Solanke is hoping for a big move to propel his career forward, he may not view West Ham as the best option, with the London side finishing only four points ahead of the Cherries last season.

Callum Wilson spent much of the season on the sidelines and so the Magpies may look to bring in attacking reinforcements this summer.

Solanke and Wilson did, of course, spend some time together on the south coast, so a chance to team up may be of interest to the two forwards.

Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on finding a new number nine to fill the void left by Harry Kane and have set their sights on Solanke.

The Bournemouth star scored eight more goals than Richarlison and two more than Son Heung-min in the Premier League last season, making him a sound option as the north London side attempt to climb the ranks during the upcoming campaign.

However, Spurs are also keeping an eye on Ivan Toney, Jonathan David and Santiago Gimenez to name a few and could lean in another direction if they want to avoid Solanke’s…
