Wrexham takes on Bournemouth in their first pre-season match on the Wrex Coast Tour ’24 in front of a sold-out crowd at Harder Stadium in Santa Barbara, California.
For the second consecutive year, Wrexham AFC is coming to the United States to play several pre-season matches in front of a growing American fanbase thanks to the docuseries, Welcome to Wrexham. The Red Dragons’ first real test of the summer comes against AFC Bournemouth, a side that finished 12th in the Premier League last season.
The two sides have not met in over 19 years; in fact, the last time they clashed was in a League One fixture back in 2005. Historically, the Cherries have typically come out on top against Wrexham, but the Red Dragons are coming off a promotion to League One, and will look to prove themselves against a Premier League club.

The Red Dragons are dealing with several long-term injuries and recent knocks that kept Lewis Brunt, Tom O’Connor, Steven Fletcher, and Jacob Mendy on the bench for Wrexham’s first pre-season fixture against Hanley Town.
