Lionel Messi has scored goals on top of goals ever since his move to Major League Soccer club Inter Miami last summer.

The ex-Barcelona and PSG figure made headlines when he opted to make the move to MLS, and he’s continued to bring new fans to the North American league with each passing week that he dons the Herons’ bright pink shirt.

The 37-year-old has recorded an impressive 25 goals in 29 appearances for the south Florida side and he’s just four goals from tying the team’s all-time top goalscorer which is none other than former Argentina teammate Gonzalo Higuain. Even though Messi has only been at Miami for one year, he’s managed to score some incredible goals for the Herons in that span.

Messi did just about all he could to inspire a comeback against Atlanta United earlier this season.

His low-driven strike in the 62nd minute made things interesting in the final half-hour of action at Chase Stadium, with Josh Cohen unable to keep out the well-placed effort.
