LAFC play host to Real Salt Lake in a top-of-the table clash in Major League Soccer play at BMO Stadium.
The 2022 MLS Cup winners are coming off a nightmare performance at home against reigning league champions Columbus Crew. Many were expecting one of the best contests of the 2024 season but instead the Crew battered the Black and Gold, winning 5-1 with three total red cards issued during the match. However, LAFC still remain atop the Western Conference with 43 points, ahead of RSL by three goals on goal difference.
Salt Lake are enjoying a terrific season under head coach Pablo Mastroeni, as a win over LAFC would propel the team to first place in the West. RSL are fresh off a 3-0 defeat to Phil Neville’s Portland Timbers, and the team will hope to get back on track Wednesday night. Though, RSL will be without Cristian Arango after he was suspended four games by MLS for violating the league’s Anti-Harassment Policy.
