PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh broke its own department record by placing 377 student-athletes on the Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll for the 2023-24 academic year. This marks the fourth consecutive year Pitt has exceeded 290 selections to the honor roll.

Additionally, the ACC marked its fifth straight year of honoring more than 5,500 student-athletes by recognizing a record-breaking 6,187 honorees for academic excellence.

The ACC Academic Honor Roll includes student-athletes who participated in varsity-level sports and maintained a grade point average of 3.0 or higher throughout the academic year. This year’s figures represent the highest number of student-athlete honorees and the fifth consecutive year in which at least 5,500 ACC student-athletes achieved Honor Roll status.

Notre Dame followed with 540 student-athletes, surpassing Virginia’s total of 538. North Carolina (537), Louisville (447), and Clemson (435) also had more than 400 student-athletes recognized.

Five Pitt student-athletes were honored five times throughout their entire collegiate careers: Lexis Akeo (volleyball), Jack Miller (cross country/track and field), Logan Mosley (volleyball), Chiamaka Nwokolo (volleyball), and Dylan Reed (diving).
