Red Devils will listen to Bruno Fernandes offers

Bruno Fernandes' situation at Man United is "one to watch"

He’s not officially been in the job for long but Dan Ashworth already looks to be the new broom sweeping clean at Man United.

The sporting director can now get to work at Old Trafford after an agreement was finally reached with Newcastle United, and Ashworth, as much as anyone at the club, will become a hugely important figure over the next weeks and months.

Along with the likes of Jason Wilcox and Omar Berrada, he will help shape the future of the club under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Man United could sell Bruno Fernandes

Clearly, there are some big decisions that need to be made in order for the Red Devils to progress, and one of those would appear to relate to captain, Bruno Fernandes.

According to Mirror Sport, although the Portuguese is expected to sign a new deal at the club, they will listen to offers for him.

Bruno Fernandes to leave Manchester United?

At 29 years of age, Fernandes still has a number of years left in the game so an acknowledgment that the club would be willing to cash in if the right offer arrived brings Financial Fair Play into sharp focus once again.

The cat will really be put amongst the pigeons should such an offer be made to the club, given that any finances from player sales would be expected to be reinvested into the playing squad.

As one of the senior members of the squad, Fernandes could command a significant fee, thus strengthening United’s bargaining power in the transfer market.

Whether or not he stays or goes, it’s clear that this is a time of great change for the Red Devils, with the pressure once again on Erik ten Hag to deliver on the pitch with the hand that he gets dealt by the powers that be.
