Nottingham Forest have reportedly placed a £40m price tag on winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The 23-year-old joined the club from Chelsea in a £5m deal on deadline day of last year’s summer transfer window.

He impressed in front of goal in the Premier League during his first season at the club, scoring eight goals in 29 appearances.

The Athletic have reported that at least three clubs – including some from the Premier League – have registered an interest in signing the Englishman.

However, clubs could be forced to pay a hefty fee for his services, with the same outlet reporting that they value him at a sum of worth atleast eight times more than what they paid for him.

Hudson-Odoi struggled in the two prior seasons to joining Nottingham Forest, making 15 appearances for Chelsea during the 2021-22 campaign, and 14 on loan at Bayer Leverkusen the following year.

His move to Forest has revitalised his career,  and it’s said that he’s happy playing for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side and is not pushing for a move.

There were reports last month that Tottenham were interested in Hudson-Odoi, as Ange Postecoglou looks to bolster his side’s attacking options after missing out on Champions League football.

Hudson-Odoi made three senior appearances for England in 2019, but his struggles before his move to Forest has meant that he has not represented the Three Lions since.

Last season, only Chris Wood (15) scored more goals for Forest than Hudson-Odoi, though the winger would have wanted more assists than the two he got across the 2023-24 campaign.
