The Lionel Messi-less Herons have fared well thus far without their superstar forward, winning both games in which their No. 10 has been on international duty with Argentina at Copa America 2024. Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino’s side managed a 2-1 comeback victory over Philadelphia Union before holding on for a 2-1 win at home against reigning MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew.
The hosts haven’t been to shabby in their recent outings, winning twice and drawing once. The Eastern Conference team settled for a 0-0 draw on the road against New York Red Bulls before pulling off a 2-1 victory over Toronto FC and a 1-0 win over the in-form NYCFC.

Nashville SC hand a handful of players unavailable for selection due to injury and international duty. The likes of Lukas MacNaughton and Randall Leal miss out through their respective ankle and hip injuries, and both players are expected to return to action by the middle of next month.
Jacob Shaffelburg, Shaq Moore and Anibal Godoy are all on international duty with their respective nations at Copa America. Shaffelburg picked up an assist last time out against Peru and has featured in both of Canada’s first two matches, while Godoy and Moore have yet to see game time.
