PITTSBURGH – The University of Pittsburgh women’s soccer head coach Randy Waldrum announced their full 18-game regular season schedule Tuesday afternoon.

The Panthers plan to continue their momentum from their most historic season yet. The 2023 season took them all the way to their first-ever Elite Eight appearance in the NCAA Tournament as well as their first time competing in the ACC Championship Semifinals. The Panthers finished at No. 6 in the United Soccer Coaches rankings with a 17-win season, finishing 17-6-1 with a 6-3-1 ACC mark. Pitt set program records for most wins overall (17), ACC wins (6), home wins (9), points (194), goals (64) and assists (68). The Panthers posted victories over Duke and North Carolina in the regular season, beating both for the first time in program history. The coaching staff who, received the NCAA Atlantic Region Staff of the Year award, helped the team propel past five top-25 teams including three in the top ten. 

NEWS AND NOTES:

  • The Panthers are looking to keep the ball rolling from last season and secure their third straight trip to the ACC Championship and NCAA Tournament fields in 2024.
  • Pitt will play a total of 20 games with two exhibitions in early-August. The Panther’s exhibition slate includes another trip to West Virginia on Aug. 4th and a home contest against Michigan on Aug. 10th.
  • The Panthers will open the regular season on the road in Athens, GA to meet Georgia on Aug. 15th.
  • Ambrose Urbanic Field will host nine games this season which includes one exhibition matchup. The first regular season home game is slated for Aug. 22 versus Buffalo.

  • Season Tickets for the 2024 season are on sale now for $50.
  • All season tickets are general admission seating.
  • All tickets will be digital once again this season.

The Panthers begin competition Aug. 4th with an exhibition match at West Virginia. Six days later they return home for their final exhibition match of the preseason to meet Michigan (Aug. 10).

Pitt’s regular season campaign begins on Aug. 15 at the University of Georgia. This will be the second time in program history the Panthers have met the Bulldogs.

This year’s city rivalry game will take place at a neutral site this season, as Pitt and Duquesne…
