Wolves have agreed the £8.5 million signing of right back Pedro Lima from Brazilian side Sport Recife ahead of interest from Chelsea.

The 17-year old has a five-year contract in place which he will sign, pending a medical, when he turns 18 on July 1.

Chelsea wanted Lima for sister club Strasbourg, who became part of Todd Boehly‘s BlueCo family last year.

But the teenager – who represented Brazil at the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup – has opted to move to Molineux instead.

Lima will be hoping to break into the first team at Wolves. He has been playing senior club football since January when he made his debut for Sport Recife.
