Liverpool remain aware of developments with Lille defender Leny Yoro but still expect the 18-year-old to choose a move to Real Madrid.

As Mail Sport reported last month, Liverpool admire the centre-back and Madrid do not wish to pay Lille’s £42m asking price but the Champions League winners believe Yoro favours them.

Manchester United and PSG are also keen, with the former club in particular interested in bolstering their defensive ranks.

United expect to have funds boosted by the pending sale of Mason Greenwood who is the subject of an offer from Juventus while other clubs are expected to bid.

The Man United academy graduate – who mutually agreed to continue his career ‘away from the club’ at the start of last season – has been impressing at Getafe on season-long loan.

While the Spanish club are believed to be keen to keep hold of the forward, both Juve and Serie A Napoli are reportedly looking into tempting Greenwood to Italy.

Juventus are looking to sell winger Matias Soule who has interest from West Ham, and are also thought to be mulling a move for Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz as part of a swap deal with current players Weston McKennie and Samuel Iling Jr.

United and Arsenal admire Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee but he has been speaking to AC Milan.

Zirkee has enjoyed a strong season in Italy, and will look to put himself in the shop window this summer after receiving a late call-up to join Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands side.
