Best Americans across Europe’s top five Leagues in 2024

Although the club season has just ended for US men’s national team players across Europe, many of them are already on their way to linkup with their fellow national teammates ahead of Copa America 2024.

2024 had it all in Europe’s best leagues for Americans. We saw some lift trophies, some struggle to stay fit while others faced relegation battles as the season wore on.

Despite the challenges along the way for the Americans, there were still several players who went above and beyond to enjoy excellent individual seasons.

Here are the best USMNT players across Europe’s top five leagues.

Crystal Palace v Fulham FC - Premier League

Chris Richards is coming off a 2023/24 season with Crystal Palace in which he starred for the majority of the campaign.

The 24-year-old managed 23 starts over the 38-game season and more than played his part in the Eagles’ uptick in form after the appointment of Oliver Glasner.

Antonee Robinson

Although Fulham didn’t enjoy the best of seasons at Craven Cottage, Antonee Robinson sure made strides on an individual level to keep his place in the USMNT setup.

Robinson recorded six assists across the entire season, which isn’t too shabby for a defender.

Joe Scally

Joseph Scally is fresh off a Bundesliga campaign in which Borussia Monchengladbach flirted with relegation, but he himself managed to improve despite the noise around him.

The 21-year-old logged one goal and dished out four assists in 25 starts as M’Gladbach finished in 14th place.

Johnny Cardoso

Johnny Cardoso may have appeared in only half of Real Madrid’s matches after joining Real Betis in the winter transfer window, but he was efficient in the limited matches he appeared in.

The defensive midfielder went on to make 15 starts in the second half of the La Liga campaign to propel Betis to a seventh place finish.

Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic appears to have got his mojo back after just on season in the Italian Serie A with AC Milan.

Fresh off a rough season at Chelsea, Pulisic went on to tally 12 goals and eight assists to fire Milan into second place and a Champions League spot for next term.
