Manchester City and Newcastle are reportedly vying for the same player from Wolves as they look to bolster their frontlines this summer ahead of next season.

The Molineux outfit are asking for £60million, a club-record selling transfer fee, to part ways with one of their main men – a figure that would surpass the departures of Matheus Nunes to Man City for £53m and Ruben Neves to Al-Hilal for £47m in 2022.

The Telegraph reports that Man City and Saudi-backed Newcastle are looking to reinforce their frontline and are highly interested in Wolves’ star Pedro Neto.

The 24-year-old forward has been battling with two hamstring injuries this season, which have caused him to miss 20 games, or 129 days this season.

Although, he managed to score two goals and deliver nine assists in just 18 games in the starting XI and a total of 1,518 minutes played.
