RENTON, WASH. – Tacoma Defiance (4-3-1, 14 points) hits the road to take on Minnesota United FC 2 (2-4-0, 6 points), on Sunday, May 19 at the National Sports Center (12:00 p.m. PT / MLSNEXTPro.com).
Tacoma is coming off a 4-1 loss to Timbers2 on May 10. Despite a late own goal for Defiance, four goals by Timbers2 proved too much to overcome as Tacoma lost its third match of the season.
Tacoma and Minnesota played each other twice last season, with Tacoma winning the shootout after a 4-4 draw on May 14 before Defiance won the second match 4-2 on August 25.
Following Sunday’s match, Defiance faces Houston Dynamo 2 on Sunday, May 26 at SaberCats Stadium (4:00 p.m. PT / Apple TV).
