Sporting Kansas City will be in action twice this week as the club hosts FC Tulsa at 7:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 before returning to the road to play the Portland Timbers at 9:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Providence Park in Oregon.


Tickets for Tuesday’s Cup clash are available on SeatGeek and the match will be streamed live on MLSsoccer.com while Saturday’s showdown will be available to watch on Apple TV for MLS Season Pass subscribers. Radio coverage for both fixtures will air locally on Sports Radio 810 WHB in English and La Grande 1340 AM in Spanish with live audio streams available in the Sporting KC App. In addition, Pub partners in the Sporting Pub Network will also show PORvSKC including a watch party at No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power and Light District with food and drink specials for fans.

SPORTING U NIL ATHLETES: Sporting Kansas City will welcome the club’s six Sporting U NIL Athletes to the team’s new front office (300 Wyandotte Street) in Kansas City, Missouri from 5:30-8:30 p.m. CT on Thursday for a photo shoot and educational event designed to provide professional development resources, mentorship and networking around topics including brand building, content creation and community impact. Media are invited to attend for interview opportunities with the athletes and should RSVP.

The Victory Project is conducting a contest for children under 17 years of age to design the scarf that will be sold at Sporting Kansas City’s annual Kick Childhood Cancer match on September 15. To enter, download the coloring page from VictoryKC.org and the deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. CT on Monday.

The Sporting KC Academy U-19s will continue their UPSL spring campaign with a pair of matches against local teams this week beginning at 7 p.m. CT on Wednesday when the team hosts KC Surf Soccer Club at Swope Soccer Village (6310 Lewis Rd.) in Kansas City, Missouri followed by a match-up with Ryogoku Soccer Academy at 4 p.m. CT on Sunday at the 9th and Van Brunt Athletic Fields in Kansas City, Missouri.
