CHATTANOOGA, TN. – Chattanooga Red Wolves SC has announce the signing of outside back Owen Green. Green joins the Chattanooga Red Wolves with two years of League One Experience including a 2022 USL League One Title.

Originally from Leicester, England, Green was raised in Miami and played his college career at Florida International University. During his time at FIU, Green notched over 3,000 minutes over 51 matches and 32 starts.

The 25 year old has logged 55 appearances and over 3600 minutes of USL League One play. Most recently Green played the 2023 USL League One with Lexington SC.

“Owen will make a great addition to our group and give us quality and depth in a key position,” says head coach Scott Mackenzie when asked about Green. “He has a lot of experience in the league and a winners mentality. We are excited for this addition and to get him integrated with the club’s culture”

For General Manager and President Sean McDaniel, Green adds some much needed depth after an injury riddled first portion of the season for the club. “We still have a very long season ahead of us and Owen gives us the much needed depth to hopefully get the club their first trophy,” says McDaniel. “He’s a polished pro with the necessary experience to help us make a run deep into the season.”

Green will be available for selection for tomorrow’s match against South Georgia Tormenta. The Chattanooga Red Wolves return home on Saturday May 25th as they take on Lexington SC. The match features post game fireworks. Tickets are now for sale at chattanoogaredwolves-sc.com.
