May 11, 2024 – Canadian Premier League (CPL)
Atletico Ottawa News Release
What a day it was.
Hundreds of participants and dozens of Special Olympic Athletes competing in a variety of sporting events.
It’s called the Motionball Marathon of Sport and Team Atleti were proud to take part. The location was Carleton University. Team Atleti was made up of some Atleti front office staffers alongside some members of Capital City Supporters Group – and two very special guests. Special Olympic Athletes (and brothers) Adam and Robbie. Together we formed an unstoppable union. We laughed together. We scored goals together. We competed together.
All-in-all $50,000 was raised for Motionball. A special and meaningful day. No doubt Atleti will be back next year! Learn more about Motionball Marathon of Sport HERE.
