NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville SC will reach the midpoint of its five-games-in-21-days stretch when the club takes on Charlotte FC on Saturday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. CT in the Tar Heel State.

Here are five things to know for Saturday’s match, available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and on Nashville SC’s flagship station 104.5 the Zone .

1. Saturday night’s match marks the second and final time this season the Boys in Gold will square off with Charlotte FC. Nashville SC defeated their North Carolina visitors 2-1 at GEODIS Park on March 16 behind goals from forward Sam Surridge and midfielder Alex Muyl. The club is 2W-1L-1D all-time against Charlotte, including a 2-1 win in the team’s last visit to Bank of America Stadium on May 20, 2023.

2. During Nashville SC’s 4-1 victory over CF Montréal at GEODIS Park last Saturday, all three of the club’s Designated Players (Surridge, Hany Mukhtar, and Walker Zimmerman) started together for the first time this season. The trio made a significant impact on the scoresheet, with Surridge joining Mukhtar (who had two assists) as just the second player in club history to record a hat trick and Zimmerman adding a goal in his return to the starting lineup from injury. For their efforts, all three were named to MLS’ Matchday 12 Team of the Matchday.

3. Across series history, Mukhtar has netted four goals and one assist in four matches against the North Carolina side. The German midfielder leads the club in MLS assists this season with four following his two-assist performance against Montréal last weekend.

4. For the second week in a row, the Boys in Gold will don their Man in Black kits against Charlotte. The club improved its record across all competitions in the alternate kit to 4W-4L-3D with its 4-1 victory over Montréal.

5. Nashville SC will conclude its run of five matches in 21 days when the club returns to GEODIS Park next week to host two matches in four days. The Boys in Gold will take on Toronto FC (API Heritage and 90’s Night on Wednesday, May 15) followed by Atlanta United FC as part of Major League Soccer Rivalry Week presented by Continental Tire (Active Duty and Veterans Appreciation on Saturday, May 18).
