Tottenham vs Arsenal: Preview, predictions and lineups

Destiny Udogie

A north London derby of colossal proportions takes place this Sunday when title-chasing Arsenal travel to top-four hopefuls Tottenham.

Both sides are desperate for all three points and bragging rights this weekend in a game that could have enormous ramifications, and the thrilling 2-2 draw between the sides earlier this season suggests the upcoming encounter could be a wild ride.

Arsenal realistically need victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium if they have any hope of lifting the Premier League trophy come the end of the season, with Manchester City just a point behind them with a game in hand. Triumphing over their local rivals would certainly pile the pressure on Pep Guardiola’s side ahead of their clash with Nottingham Forest later on Sunday.

Tottenham have their own ambitions this season, although the possibility of denying Arsenal the title is an extra motivation. The Lilywhites are still chasing Champions League qualification, making Sunday’s battle a pivotal one considering they still have to face Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea this term.

Here is 90min’s guide to Tottenham vs Arsenal this weekend.

Tottenham do have a few injury concerns ahead of the north London derby but the good news for Ange Postecoglou is that both Pedro Porro and Richarlison are available ahead of the crunch clash.

However, Spurs will have to cope without Destiny Udogie at left-back, with the Italian out until the start of next season, while Oliver Skipp is also unavailable for Arsenal’s visit.

Manor Solomon, Ryan Sessegnon and Fraser Forster are all sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.

Tottenham predicted lineup (4-3-3): Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Davies; Bentancur, Sarr, Maddison; Johnson, Son, Werner.
