Newcastle are reportedly bracing themselves for Arsenal and Tottenham to make £100million offers for Alexander Isak this summer.

According to The Sun, there are concerns that Newcastle may have to sell Isak as they look to ensure that they comply with Financial Fair Play rules.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is adamant that Isak will stay at the club, but the Magpies could be forced to let him leave, especially if they miss out on securing European football for next season.

Isak has scored 28 goals in 58 appearances for Newcastle since he joined from Real Sociedad in 2022. So far this season he has netted 14 goals in 21 Premier League games.

The Swedish striker recently suggested that he could depart, saying: ‘If things show up, things can happen’.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could be interested in a deal for Isak

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou may also be targeting a deal for Isak

Mikel Arteta (L) and Ange Postecoglou (R) could both be interested in signing Isak

However, Howe stressed that he is confident Isak will remain at St James’ Park.

Howe said: ‘He’s an outstanding talent and no one connected with Newcastle would want to lose him.’

Isak, who cost Newcastle a club record fee of £63million, could well be tempted by the possibility of joining Arsenal or Tottenham.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are likely to be on the lookout for a new striker this summer, and Isak could be an ideal acquisition.

If Tottenham are unable to sign Isak then Ange Postecoglou’s side could turn their attention to Brentford’s Ivan Toney.
