RENTON, WASH. – After defeating Colorado Rapids 2 4-2 last weekend, Tacoma Defiance (2-0-0, 6 points) travels to Ventura County FC (2-0-0, 6 points) on Sunday, March 31 for its second road match of the season (5:00 p.m. / MLSNEXTPro.com).
Ventura County FC, formally known as LA Galaxy II, sits in third place in the Western Conference. The club is tied on points with Defiance and LAFC2, but trails the clubs in the goal difference tiebreaker.
The two sides played twice in 2023, with Tacoma winning the first match 3-1 before drawing 1-1 with the Southern California side in the second. Ventura County won the ensuing shootout in the second match.
Following Sunday’s match, Defiance returns home to take on LAFC2 on Sunday, April 7 at Starfire Stadium (5:00 p.m. PT / MLSNEXTPro.com).
