Sidekicks Part Ways Amicably with Head Coach Ed Puskarich; Terry Woodberry Named Interim Head Coach

Sidekicks Fall to Strykers on Second Match of Weekend Doubleheader

Allen, Texas – The Dallas Sidekicks announced today that the team has parted ways amicably with Head Coach Ed Puskarich.

Puskarich was hired as head coach in August of 2023 ahead of the 2023-2024 Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) season. He led the Sidekicks to win three games, including their first regulation and road victory since the 2021-2022 season.

Before being named head coach, Puskarich assisted the Sidekicks in the broadcast booth as a play-by-play analyst.

Dallas Sidekicks President Jesse Llamas:

“We’re very grateful for Coach Ed and his contributions to our team dynamic. He will always be part of the Sidekicks family, and this is not the end of our relationship. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

Sidekicks Assistant Coach Terry Woodberry has been named Interim Head Coach.

Woodberry, a Sidekicks Legend, was awarded the assistant coach position alongside Kiley Couch in August of 2023. In his 14-year career playing indoor soccer, Woodberry spent six seasons with the Sidekicks and helped them secure the 2001 World Indoor Soccer League (WISL) Championship.

The Dallas Sidekicks look to turn things around in the end of the current MASL season with four games left to play. They face the Milwaukee Wave this Sunday, March 17th at 3:00 PM CST at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center.
