KANSAS CITY – The Kansas City Current announced a partnership with Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) through 2024. DFA is a national farmer-owned cooperative with nearly 11,000 family farm-owners. Headquartered in Kansas City and with more than 19,000 employees worldwide, DFA also manufactures a variety of dairy products including fluid milk, cheese, butter, ice cream and more that connect its family farms to family tables across the United States, including here in Kansas City.

“We are really excited to partner with Dairy Farmers of America in 2024 as we open CPKC Stadium, the first stadium purpose-built for a women’s professional team,” said Current President Raven Jemison. “Our shared values around sustainability and giving back to the community make this a perfect fit. We hope this will amplify the impact that both organizations will have in Kansas City, as well as our respective reach beyond.”

The club is committed to prioritizing practices such as reducing plastic usage, composting, and recycling. CPKC Stadium will be a leader in energy and environmental design, reducing negative impacts during construction by maximizing energy efficiency, water conservation, indoor air quality and more.

The Riverfront Collective will be sourcing DFA farmer-owned cheese and butter ingredients in CPKC Stadium. KC Current is proud to bring DFA family farm-owners’ ingredients into CPKC Stadium because they produce dairy with a long-standing commitment to protecting water, soil, and natural habitats to both improve their farm operations and the well-being of their herds. 100% of DFA farms participate in the Cooperative’s Gold Standard Dairy Program – one of the first on-farm evaluation programs of its kind, focused on employing…
