PRESEASON STORYLINES
* On Wednesday, Rhode Island FC announced its television broadcast schedule for the 2024 USL Championship season.
* Rhode Island FC recently announced that the club will participate in the 109th edition of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in 2024.
* Rhode Island natives Nate Silveira and Kevin Vang became the 20th and 21st all-time acquisitions for RIFC and seventh and eighth signings of 2024, joining Jojea Kwizera, Clay Holstad, Noah Fuson, Albert Dikwa, Karifa Yao and Kofi Twumasi.
* RIFC is finishing up its preseason schedule as it prepares for its first season competing in the USL Championship and first under Head Coach and General Manager, Khano Smith.
* On Jan. 19, RIFC signed 2023 USL Championship Most Valuable Player and Golden Boot winner Albert Dikwa to a multi-year contract.
* The club’s official team mascot, Chip the harbor seal, was introduced in November.
* With Capelli Sport serving as Rhode Island FC’s official and exclusive on-field apparel and equipment provider, the club announced Breeze Airways as its inaugural front-of-kit sponsor for the 2024 season.
* Breeze Airways joined Ortho Rhode Island and Centreville Bank as official Anchor Partners.
