Fiorentina ‘are concerned that Sofyan Amrabat is lowering his transfer value while on loan at Manchester United’ after his howler allowed Erling Haaland to score for Manchester City

Fiorentina are concerned Sofyan Amrabat is lowering his transfer value at Manchester United

Fiorentina are concerned that Sofyan Amrabat is lowering his transfer value during his loan spell at Manchester United.

Amrabat’s time at United hasn’t gone to plan so far, with the 27-year-old being used as a left-back on some occasions, while he made an error in the build-up to Manchester City‘s third goal on Sunday.

Having entered the fray as a substitute, Amrabat failed to control the ball properly, with Erling Haaland proceeding to make it 3-1 to City.

As reported by Football Italia, Fiorentina are fearful that United will not take up their option to sign Amrabat permanently.

In addition, the Italian club believe that they may now find it more difficult to sell the Morocco international to another side once he returns.

United paid £7.7million (€9m) to take Amrabat on loan, which also covers his salary for the season.

The Red Devils have an option to sign him permanently for £17million (€20million)  plus another £4.2million (€5million) in add-ons.

However, it appears unlikely that Amrabat will be remaining at United beyond this campaign.

In total, Amrabat has made 21 appearances for United so far.

Amrabat signed for Fiorentina in 2020 and excelled for Morocco at the 2022 World Cup. He has one year remaining on his contract at Fiorentina.
