Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Barcelona winger Raphinha.
A report from the Spanish publication Sport claims that the London clubs could submit an offer to sign the 27-year-old at the end of the season. However, Raphinha is keen on continuing at the Spanish club.
It will be interesting to see if the clubs can convince the Brazilian to move back to the Premier League at the end of the season. Barcelona would be open to selling him if the right offer is presented. The Spanish club are going through financial difficulties and they cannot afford to turn down a lucrative offer.
The 27-year-old has scored four goals across all competitions this season and he has picked up seven assists along the way. He could prove to be a useful addition to the Chelsea attack. The Brazilian knows the Premier League well and he could hit the ground running if he moves to Stamford Bridge next season.
Raphinha could be an upgrade on players like Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk. Both players have been largely underwhelming this season.
Chelsea need better players if they want to return to the Champions League and compete for major trophies. Signing a proven Premier League performer would be a wise decision.
Meanwhile, Tottenham could use more quality in the attack as well. They have put together an exciting squad over the last couple of windows. If they can add some more depth, they could easily compete on multiple fronts.
